Qi Yunping was both unfortunate and fortunate. On the one hand, she was unfortunate because she encountered the Falun Gong evil cult when she was suffering from family misfortunes and illnesses. On the other hand, she was fortunate because, unlike many other practitioners who had been obsessed with Falun Gong until they died for “eliminating karma”, she got out of the Falun Gong evil cult in the end with the help of anti-evil-cult volunteers. She finally realized that the so-called “eliminating karma" and "Law Bodies’ protection” was just deceptive nonsense.
Qi Yunping was once a teacher at Machang Primary School in Suji Township, Haixing County, Cangzhou City. According to Liu Wenqiang, the principal of the school, Qi Yunping was a sunny woman, very popular with her colleagues and students, and her teaching performance had been among the best for years.
The turning point of fate came in the second half of 1998 when Qi Yunping came across several Falun Gong practitioners. Since then, misfortunes began to befall her: he was not only afflicted with a chronic disease but also infected with a deadly “mental virus”, i.e., the Falun Gong evil cult. She was told by those practitioners that Falun Gong was a miraculous practice, that there was no need for medical treatment when one was sick, and that one could recover from the illness if one practiced Falun Gong in earnest. Then, she became a Falun Gong follower.
For some time after that, Qi Yunping felt in a much better mood. It was not only because she was so addicted to Falun Gong that he had nothing else on her mind, but also because the exercises she practiced for a long time every day alleviated her condition gradually.
Due to this illusory sense of self, Qi Yunping considered herself as a beneficiary of Dafa. What attracted her most were the heretical ideas about "Falun", "eliminating karma", and "law bodies" preached in Zhuan Falun. According to "Master" Li Hongzhi, it was impossible to practice cultivation with a sick body, so he cleaned up the body of each of his “true cultivation disciples”; Also, he planted in the lower abdomen of each of his followers a Falun or Law Wheel, which was spinning around the clock and provided salvation to the person it resided in when rotating inward (clockwise), and salvation to people around him when rotating outward (counterclockwise)”; Besides, "Master" Li also said that he had "countless law bodies" and that each "true cultivation disciple" was surrounded by several of his law bodies, which protected his disciples from danger at any time. These virtual Falun Gong "talismans" given by "Master" made Qi Yunping feel that they were what she could depend on.
However, when Qi Yunping concentrated on practicing Gong and studying the “Fa”, she felt increasingly ill. Even at this time, she still thought that it was "Master" helping her "eliminate karma", and she insisted on not taking any injections or medication. As a result of her long-term refusal to receive medical treatment, her disease got worse and worse and finally developed into breast cancer. Even up to this point, Qi Yunping had no doubts about "Master" and "Dafa". On the contrary, she became more infatuated with "Dafa", hoping that "Master" could help her "cure her disease by eliminating karma".
Qi Yunping's misfortune attracted increasing attention and sympathy from people around. Anti-evil-cult volunteers, her former colleagues, relatives, and friends came successively to persuade Qi Yunping to free herself from the mind control of the Falun Gong evil cult and return to normal social life as soon as possible. However, Qi Yunping was trapped in the mire of the evil cult so much so that she was unable to extricate herself from it. Why had she reached this point? On the one hand, it was because she still had illusions about "Master", hoping that a "Dafa miracle" would occur that could eliminate her “karma" and thus give her a healthy body. On the other hand, it was because of her fear of "Master" and the "Dafa".
By 2012, Qi's condition deteriorated further. Although her health was failing day by day, she still believed in Falun Gong’s heretical fallacies, unable to escape from their influence. Given this, Anti-evil-cult volunteers, her relatives, and friends visited her at her home more frequently. They gradually persuaded her to quit the evil cult and get out of its shadow by citing various tragic cases in which people were harmed or killed by the Falun Gong cult. Fortunately, their efforts were not in vain, and through their painstaking persuasion, Qi Yunping reluctantly agreed to go to the hospital for treatment.
Qi Yunping's life was rejuvenated after she had received mastectomy surgery in the hospital. Recalling the selfless help from the anti-evil-cult volunteers, Qi Yunping said with emotion: "Now, I think I should be grateful for their painstaking persuasion. If it wasn’t for their help I would have died long ago."
After recognizing the evil nature of the Falun Gong cult, Qi Yunping boldly came forward to expose its heretic fallacies by narrating some tragic cases involving practitioners who were victimized by Falun Gong. In Haixing County alone, several of the “true cultivation disciples” Qi Yunping knew died for refusing medical treatment for their diseases.
Liu Qingrui, the head in charge of the Falun Gong assistance center in Haixing County, was sick with lung disease. Considering himself a "true cultivation disciple", he firmly believed that "Master" would help him "eliminate karma" and that his "sickness-karma" would be cleaned up by "Master’s Law Bodies". Therefore, he insisted on not taking any medication or injections. Later, his condition worsened into lung cancer and he was forcibly sent to the hospital by his children. But he went back home privately from the hospital, still obsessed with practicing Gong and “eliminating karma". Ironically, under the protection of "Master’s Law Bodies”, he died miserably in 2005.
Jin Shengzhi, from the Zhanghuiting Township, was suffering from diabetes. As a firm believer in “Master” and the “Fa”, he had a paranoid thought that his disease would be cured as long as his sickness-karma was eliminated. So, instead of going to the hospital for treatment for her illness, he became obsessed with practicing Gong and studying the “Fa" and even attended various propaganda activities organized by the Falun Gong cult organization. However, the "Falun" given to him by "Master" failed to give his sick body any “blessing power” to enhance his vitality. In 2010, he passed away with regret while yearning for the protection from "Master’s Law Bodies".
Wang Mingduo, from Xinji Township, Haixing County, was also a "true cultivation disciple" who believed in Falun Gong. When he first got ill, his whole body was swollen. He firmly believed that it was a sign of "eliminating karma" and that there would be no danger to him with the protection of “Master’s Law Bodies". Therefore, he insisted on practicing Falun Gong every day without seeking any medical treatment. In the spring of 2006, Wang Mingduo died while practicing. At that time, he was only in his forties.
Qi Yunping said: "All these people, including myself, refused medical treatment for believing in Li Hongzhi's ‘Law Bodies’ protection’ and the ‘theory of eliminating karma’, and as a result, their minor diseases turned into serious ones in the end. These facts fully prove that Li Hongzhi's ‘Law Bodies’ protection’ is deceptive nonsense.”
Qi Yunping expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the anti-evil-cult volunteers who helped her escape from her sufferings. To those Falun Gong followers who are still obsessed with it, Qi Yunping gave her sincere advice: "Stop coveting Li Hongzhi's false promises or fearing his insidious threats! Be brave to get out of the Falun Gong evil cult."
